Strategic Priorities

The Board, in coordination with the Borough of Swarthmore, developed a three-year strategic plan.  Key strategic priorities include:

Park improvement projects

• stream-bank plantings and restoration,
• improving signage
• creating planting buffers along property lines
• improving park amenities

Growing support for Little Crum Creek Park through

• outreach and education
• expanding the network of stakeholders and partnerships
• increasing the number of Park Pals (volunteers)
• growing financial support

2024 & 2025

Key projects identified for 2024 & 2025 include:

• • Labeling native trees

• • Certifying the park through Arbnet as a Level 1 arboretum 

• • Stream-bank restoration in conjunction with borough projects

• • Removing invasive species & plating native species

• • Improving park signage including educational interpretive signs

• • Creating planting buffers

• • Further improving park amenities
