Park Tour with Andrew Bunting!

Park Tour with Andrew Bunting!

Please join the Friends of Little Crum Creek Park for a tour of the park on Tuesday, August 17th, at 6:00 p.m.

The Friends of Little Crum Creek Park are offering a guided tour of this treasured Swarthmore green space, led by Andrew Bunting, Friends board member and Vice President for Public Horticulture at Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. Andrew will discuss the native plants of the park and the threat that invasive species pose to this important natural habitat. He will also talk about the necessity for stream-bank stabilization, a long-established focus of the Friends volunteer efforts. Finally, Andrew will share the exciting proposals that the Friends are working on to enhance this community resource and sustain the ecological legacy of Swarthmore’s largest public park.

There will be an opportunity for questions, comments, and suggestions after the tour. We want to develop partnerships with fellow park enthusiasts to steward this community resource to benefit all. Plan for 1 hour and wear comfortable shoes. Meet at the gazebo on the Cresson Lane side of the park.
